Both my sets came with an instruction sheet.....
Trickyest bit is mounting the control unit,I found that it would just hide under the light units and behind the plastic cover.
Other than that, you need to be able to cut a 25mm hole in the plastic cap on the rear of the light unit.
Huge difference in light output, well worth the effort involved.

Youth is wasted on the young.
There are loads of forum members who use them and fitting of them has been covered a lot on here - check out the Search function, you'll be pleasantly surprised.airborne_7 wrote:who uses HID's on there e30's and if so how do you fit them?

Very easy to fit....
Just disconnect the town lights....... you don't get disco lights then.
The only problem with them is you can't use the side lights (well you can you just get a warning light on the check panel)

It doesn't look like it does in my sig pic anymore
This is only on one year iirc where the headlights were run on half power when the sidelights were operatedblackcountrybimmerman wrote:Very easy to fit....

Sure Brian Moore will be along shortly to fill in the Details
HID's FTW
They are pretty much plug and play, just need to drill a hole in the back of the headlight cap for the rubber bung

There's a "how to" guide in the E30 wiki. Easy to fit, and well worth the short amount of time it takes to fit them.
Not in E30s any more
