Whats it like driving an E30 convertible (with the hood up) in blazing hot tropical weather? With aircondition of course. Does the heat radiate through the hood and permeate into the cabin?
Have a lead on a E30 cab and doing some homework before I decide.
Thanks,
alex

I live in Australia and have had an E30 convertible for 3 years. The other day my OBC was showing 44 degrees outside . . .
The heat does not radiate through the roof at all, my roof is black too.
With aircon on its fantastic. I find that the car is NOT as hot as a normal sedan/coupe when parked in the sun as the heat can escape

I dont think you will get many replies from us over here as we dont get that type of heat, but the year before last when it was very hot here i did keep the roof up because it was too hot.

Not only do we rarely have the weather for it, not many people have aircon either!

Jimbob why would you want aircon mate? What on Earth do you think the missus if for? Get her one of those paper fan things and let her earn her keep.
Andyp, i dont know where you live mate, but down here in sunny Kingston where i'm currently residing, the temperature is constantly in the 90's mate. How else do you think i have such a lovely tan all year round?
