M3/Evo/special edition differences

Out of interest, what are the differences between the early early/late M3s and the special editions like the Cecotto and the Evolution models, in terms of engine/interior/body etc.

I'm sure this must've been covered before but a (quick) search came up with nothing surprisingly.
