Thanks, have checked out the Gamasport website, looks good, i'll call maybe tomorrow.
Yeah, i've got a small oil leak from the timing gasket, not sure if this is the dreaded profile gasket and rear shock top mounts need replacing but i would like to have a go at doing it myself ideally but it's like anything, i don't want to mess it up! I've got a really nice clean IS and i want to keep it running really well. Also it would be nice to get some advice from time to time as little things always seem to go wrong on old motors (mine's not starting amazingly well, the econometer is a bit intermittent) that kind of thing. Pointers, tools reqd etc.
Actually Town, i got those parts today and i wanted to say thanks very much, it's much appreciated.
I really like the Touring too, great pic!
Might see you on Monday as i'm gonna try and get along to it.
Cheers
Jon

Rear shock mounts are a 20 minute job but fit the E46 cab rear top mounts as they are much stronger/longer lasting than the E30 item... I couldn't comment on the leaking gasket as I don't know anything about the M42 :o:

I can help with anything apart from M42 engine issues.... I only know 6 pots :?

Sorry for not getting back to your PM Jon, been a bit hectic with work but am off all next week :woohoo: so if you need a hand give me a shout

Are you going to the midlands meet? I'm actually half tempted myself even though my car is a bit of a shed at the moment

Ok, i'll give you a shout next week, i'll get the parts, i'll do the leak some other time, it's not that bad. Def needs the shock mounts done though. That would be awesome to get a hand though.
I will try to make that meet, my wife's away this weekend so i'm home with the kids but they love a ride out in the car so may just come by for an hour or something.
You've got my number so let me know if you're going.
Hopefully see you Monday, or next week.
Thanks Charlie,
Jon
