Looks clean enough but have no idea if that is good value down under? That's way over priced for Ol'Blighty!!
Awful dash rug haha but at least it stops the dash cracking :D

The owner has dropped the price from around $17K when it was first listed over 12 months ago. Taking a while to move at that price

Rizla, I fixed your images...you just needed to wrap them with IMG tags ( [img]and[/img] respectively).

$15K is a reasonable price for the right car in Australia. Bargain right and you'd get it for a fair price I reckon.

Xavi we looked at moving to Oz and getting the car over there costs pennies but then it's all the other 'taxes and import duties'.
There's something like 3,000 import duty then 2,000 registration. Worked out it was going to cost £7,000 to take either the Boxster or the M3 hence why europeon cars are very expensive.

Looks a nice car, but by the instrument cluster it looks like an english import. Quite a few 325is coupes availiable and original BMW Australia delivered cars are worth more, and you don't have the rust concerns.

An update on this one - I took a look at it for rizla2 as it is in my neck of the woods and the car, on first appearance and test drive, is very sound and a nice car BUT...
...my body shop took a look at some cracking paint on the roof and estimated repairs at AUS$2 - 5K 8O 8O
They suspected the car may have been rolled as it had a lot of hidden filler. Their test magnet wouldn't adhere do some roof sections at all. Certainly pays to get an expert opinion!

I had even considered adding this car to my collection until this point. Mechanically, the car is A1 with some very tasteful engine / drivetrain / suspension upgrades.
Must say that the Kings Springs fitted to it aren't a patch on the Eibachs on my chromie - worth every cent :D

I'm not a fan of King Springs. Nasty things. I, too, will stay with my Eibachs. :)

Yup they are rare over these ways.... How about a Alpina or Hartge?

I've met the fellow selling the Hartge. A very nice, very knowledgeable chap who takes his cars very seriously.

The Hartge is only about 10mins drive from me - owner is on this forum. I have seen the car up close (not driven it) and it looks the goods.
Steve - let me know if you want me to take a look for you.
The Alpina looks nice but $$$$ - would want to be spot on at that price.

What little spoiler is that, above the original one on the front? Is that a sport evo one?

Poolnoodle - M_jermyn - AlpineAde

Thanks guys for picking out some pretty cool metal for me to have a butchers at.

A REAL BIG thanks to poolnoodle for going to have a look at that car for me on North Tassie. Shame about the roof.

I'm really after a good clean unmolested 325is. Hartge's and Alpinas are good but you know what it's like when you've got your head set on something.

My quest continues...

Any time, Steve - I enjoyed the whole exercise.
It made me change my thinking though - better to buy a solid 325i and use the left over $5000+ to make it better than a 325iS.
For 325iS money you can almost get a E36 M3 or a tidy specced up E46

Which car are you looking at, mate?

Of all the cars shown in this thread I'd probably go the Hartge. They're even rarer out here than the Alpinas. I've a mate with the same spec Alpina as the one shown in the ad and they are wonderful cars ~ go like stink, too ~ but it is a lot of money. As poolnoodle says, you're getting into E36 M3 territory and I've seen some nice M3s go from desperate sellers for well under the asking price of the Alpina.

Rizla, remember, if you come across a UK Sport you can use its origin as a bargaining point. As nice as one might be, it is still an import and imports just do not fetch the money that official cars fetch. Keep looking...something will turn up. Given that this is something that you have really set your heart on then patience will pay dividends, as you will want the best possible example you can find.

Sorry, my mistake, i wanted to say under/below the front spoiler, not above.
It has something like the sport evo.
