Hi,

I'm approaching the end of an expensive restoration on a supposedly mint granite grey cabby I bought off fleabay last year. I've tried to do a proper job. Chop and weld rather than fill and bodge. New arches, sill repairs etc. etc. Lovely new paint job. Rebadged. Booked in for a new blue mohair hood next week.

The project is already over the 2 grand mark and my dosh is running out....So here is the dilema. Do i get the BBS cross spokes blasted and powder coated and keep it original and in keeping with the rest of the car, or do I splash out on some 17" BK racing alpina reps.

I'm not a big fan of the modified look to be honest, but alpina reps do look classy. New alloys come in at around £400 with rubber from the BK shop on fleabay. Refurb including tyre removal is around the £200 mark (unless anyone knows anywhere cheaper in the West yorkshire area). Decisions, decisions!!

Cheers for any opinions. Pics to follow.

+2 rep's are SH!TE

Genuine 'pinas only.

Or some form or nice cross-spoke style rep can be ok. But I'd stick with the 15" BBS done in a slightly darker silver than standard.

I see the bk 171 on meganes more than bm's. Don't put that shite on your car after you spent so much time and cash getting it to scratch.

It's like landing Jenifer aniston but then finding out she has blue waffle :o

+1 on learning to refurb alloys. Just work on them once in a while for as much time as you can spare. Pay for them to be blasted down the the metal first though to save you so much time using sandpaper or whatever.
