Hello to all, :D

New to this forum! :o

Just purchased a BMW, which is a 325i 4dr on F Plate with 104k with FSH. for Ԛ£800, thought that was a reasonable price!!

What is the best oil to use in this mighty fine engine, what else would need checking on with this sort of mileage! the car has just been put through an MOT! which it flew through! How often does the Gearbox oil nead replacing!

What are the best size wheels to go for! 17" alpina's are nice, but as I like to drift then these could get costy in rubber socks & wouldn't spin up so much!.! As they are 4 stud do any other car makes fit the BMW!! hopefully to widen the range to the second hand market!!

Exhaust, after the famous Twin DTM upswept rear box, any suggestions!!

Suspension, best drop in lowering springs for country roads, how easy is it to fit them, or is it best left to the garage!

Any good BMW breakers for these parts and others, in the South West/Wales area? :P

Regards

Welcome to the zone! Glad to hear you have a sound motor.

Drifting with 17's is going to cost you loads of money. If your a fan of the 17" alpina reps (they do look good!) just be aware that they can bend.

As for the DTM upswept design of exhaust there are I think only two options:

Scoprion and Supersprint. The supersprint is much more expensive and its quuieter than the scorpion.

Or go for Mongoose which is straight, I know the DTM styke is quite frowned upon!

The Mongoose and Supersprint are available from the Zone shop.

16" tyres tend to be more expensive but the ride is better.

changing springs aint hard but it can be if you never done it before. if your based near someone else on here im sure they will take your through it.

Its bettere to go for a suspension kit than just springs. H&R being the product of choise or even Eibach.

If you dont want to spend big money then there is always Apex. This will be available through the shop later but you can still buy it from the zone.
