I've seen some schmidt 3pc that I really like:
There 16x9" all round though, I was wondering how that affected steering and ride on a 325i?
Is there a guide on what is the max width/et fitment front and rear?

I'd imagine the majority of people either run staggered or around 7/7.5 on the front. Much more than that and you'll be on the inner arches. Definitely don't want a low ET rim that wide.

I ran 9J on my touring and my brothers convertible and they both drove fine.
I don't do track days so can't comment on that, however there's no reason to be put off if you just want to have a bit of fun every now and then, they should be fine.

I always felt it sharpens the steering up a bit..probably due to the camber

that's probably more to do with the diameter than the width though isn't it?

I'm sure that with correct tyres, or even streched tyres, then there is no difference (or negligable) to the diameter of the wheel. If anything its the width.
I want 9j fronts

Uni is killing the project.

lol i'm not trying to out-do anyone, I just don't want to buy alloys that make the car handle badly or screw up the driving experience if you get me?

Yeah i get what you mean, what i meant was that, even with 10J at the front, the handling isn't really affected.
There are quite a few on here running 9J up front without any problems.
Go for it

If you could find them I think 7x15 MIM Alpines are just the ticket, retro, cool, not the usual run of the mill and have the desired polished rim.
Just need to find some!
Or Borbet Bs - great looking wheel!!!
