Ok, I have a 1990 325i sport in dolphin grey, my mate just bought a 1990 325i sport in bright red. Both cars are both "real" sports when you check all the bits out, but theres a couple of differences, on his sport the black bit around the number plate is colour coded which seems orginal and the small section below the rear lights is alot thicker than mine, it also has mtec 1 rear lights, below isnt his car but just show the parts im on about, can anyone enlighten me??

sounds like yԚ´mate has a pre face lift sport registered v. late
that or its not from 90... if it was a cab, then it wouldnt be so odd, cos they did keep the old shape running til almost the end of production.

take a copy of your chassis numbers into the local bmw dealers and ask them to run a model decription on both your cars.. u should find out the lot then

Sounds like it's a pre-facelift Sport registered late and with the M-Tech II kit retrofitted, if those are the only differences.

the colour coded bit is wrong they are all black plastic, someone has painted it at some point
Q is do they have the same kit on them? if one has early lights on them someone has been busy doing naughty things!
