im getting nowhere have been at it for about 1 hour, cant get anything undone!!

Cant undo prop-lsd and prop keeps spinning even in gear?

where is the best place to take the drive shafts off? what bit should i take off?

just tried that and its still turning...... the diffs fubard....so its not working...

Whizz the back plate off and jam the internals with a bar if it's bolloxed.

Cap screws in the red circles to undo the shafts.

I really struggled to get the prop-diff bolts undone on the car I was breaking. In the end I used an angle grinder to thin the nuts down so there was about half a mm of material left and then snapped them off. New nuts needed obviously, but there was no way they were coming undone otherwise.

thanks guys, i cant get the back plate off, where the diff mounts on the car the bolt is solid!!!, managed to get the shafts off tho, thanks for that, i think the angle grinder may come into it :P

I have soaked everything in wd40, will try angin in an hour!!

What a nasty job!!

forget the angle grinder. you will damage parts, and probably hurt yourself.

use a breaker bar. thats what i use for the bolts. you must have a terrible handbrake if it cant resist the torque from a human.

keep trying. oh and if your having trouble with those bolts, then your going to love the top bolts.
