Ive put this in general cos no-one seems to bother with the "styling" board.
Ive got a 4dr silver e30, and the other half fancies putting arch trims/covers/skirts whatever they're called.
The car has been de-chromed so they would look naff wouldnt they? though i guess i could stick black plastic ones on.
Anyone got a silver e30 with arch trims? could you post some pics please?

i agree with daz.
crome arches are council. and i dont think they will fit properly if your car hasent got rusted arches.

lol thanks for the opinions... will leave her as she is.
the sills are rock solid..
no need for skirts, but may pop some on as it would look better.
the arches are solid but one is starting to bubble throgh so i wanna respray it, but to match the colour gonna need a proffessional a?

I reckon an MTech 2 kit, colour coded would be cool.
"Everyone does that though!", I hear you but it is a good look and you personalise it with your own things....debadged, black badges, wheels, lights.....

Why not go the other way and put the original black front skirt back on so it doesn't look so out of proportion.
After all it's not a rocket and skirts are only used to create a vacuum under the car to keep it stable at speeds of about 80+ so don't get used much and are more expensive to replace when you smash them to bits on crap roads.
But then it's your money

There is NO nucleus.

no idea. it could well be, i just think it looks out of proportion without something similar along the sill's.
Could just be the angle of the picture.
There is NO nucleus.

Silver ones will look gay. If you do go for it make sure they are colour coded.

The bumper is a Lux one with the top and bottom bits body-coloured, the valance is the standard E30 one but that's got an iS lip on it instead of the normal black lip like on my Lux:
If the other half is a drug dealer then go for the chrome arches
Otherwise leave it alone

lol the other half is a chef, he wants skirts cos it aint the angle of the photo.. it is looking out of proportion..
May put colour coded arches on it if we shelling out for paint for skirts anyway.
any other suggestions for cosmetic improvements?
(the engine runs sweet as it is so im not messing with it!)

Cosmetic improvements.......you could lower it so it doesn't look like it's on stilts
The sideskirts are a good idea, though M Tech II kit would be the ultimate improvement

if i treat and re-spray the arch (well get someone else to do it...) then put new plasic arches ans seal them on.. would it stop the rust starting on the other 3 or will they all go in the end?
My dad runs a bodyshop, so when i eventually get back home to wales, i can get it done properly for little money, i wont touch it till then.
I guess im looking at silly prices for m-tech skirts?

like you say if ya dads a sprayer get him to sort the arches and theyll be no need for any covers and they look so naff on car
didnt mean sills looked bad earlier its just they look so much better with the skirts on (will put mmine on eventualy)
se skirts cost upto Ԛ£50 on here and theyre are some usually floating about mtech skirts look naff without the full kit imo
