dude, why don't you measure your ride height and then work out how much you want to drop it by and then work out what spring drop you want and then buy the appropriate springs?

Cut springs is as pikey as it gets

I have a touring outside my house that someone had cut the rear springs down on to do the big drifting thing. It is not a pretty sight after the spring slipped and failed.

As Lee said, get the job done properly

What do you intend to use the car for?

If it is a road car, it will be horrible in the handling dept with 80mm drop as there's basically no suspension travel left. As soon as you drop a car it will also highlight any tired and worn out suspension bushes.

As said above mate this forum on the most part is for people who enjoy driving and owning E30.

Try asking the drifters they might be able to weld your diff at the same time, Actually i have seen a thread with welded spring as well. Maybe they will be along soon but be warned its a LIFESTYLE

cutting a coil is not that bad, well its not as bad as using a blow torch to heat them down to the desired hight :D

aparently e24's respone well to having a coil cut off 8O

ps, rear springs are pig tailed to cant really be cut, if you do then you are a butcher :!:

Would it be better if they were cut and then had the pig tails welded back on?
