Joined (again) recently and noticed lots of threads about Motorsport cabs and really really want one. Was hoping some people would be able to enlighten me on some details or specs etc?
How often do they come up for sale and how much would i need to budget for one on average, seen one on trader for Ԛ£6.5K

Love the calypso red and mauritus blue

Is there a great deal of difference over normal 325i cabs?

Use the search facility as there are lots of threads on them.
Difference from the 325i normal cabs roughly, full mtech 2 bodykit/alloys/ interior/suspension/limited colours available. However there are also earlier variants which are without the bodykit generally pre 1990/91. This means 3 variants:- pre mtech2 bodykit/change to mtech 2/ and also minor facelift to the last run of mauritius ble/calypso red with the later rear clusters and lotus white interiors.
You will generally pay for what you get. Same probs as any other cab:- duffed roofmotor/rusty arches/rust under kit/ generally worn scratched neglected. However more of these are now dropping into the hands of people wanting to return them to A1. Any changes from standard may reduce prices unless the original parts are also supplied with the sale.Due to these usual suspects the prices seem to vary from Ԛ£4500 to believe it or not Ԛ£10250!! with an independant specialist.
Availability plays a major part as they are hard to find for sale.
Not a great deal of difference to a standard 325i cab but the authenticity is now playing a major part in the good residual values.

No need to delete as many others ask the same questions, as I did 6 yrs ago before buying mine.
Cheers and good luck in your search,
Andy
