Hi,
I'm a 32 years old french freak of BMW and i actually ride a z3 3.0l coupe.
I planned to buy a e30 for track day car but don't know what to choose between 318is, 325i mk1, 325i mk2 or even...a 325i touring?
Thank you for sharing your experiences.
See you

I would go for a 325i personally. Here are my reasons.

325i can be made to handle excellently with the right suspension setup.
The engines are very reliable and can take a caning. If it does go wrong replacements are cheap. The 318iS will give you better handling (only just) but if the engine goes pop then so will your bank account.

325i as standard is quite powerful especialy if its going to be stripped.

Lots to choose from!

Lots of tuning parts which actually do make a difference.
