I'm doing the exact same thing to my girlfriends car. The dealers don't make the manual gear gaiters any more in the motorsport colours, this is pretty much the only thing you'd need but would be left with a hole where the switchable auto switch is.William wrote:I posted a question a while ago about converting auto to manual. Gathered I'd need a box, pedal box, flywheel and other things (can't remember what). Would I need a new centre console cos its a M'sport and obviously getting a new one would be very difficult or expensive?
Thanks
If you've got a motorsport cab then get your name down on the list for the meet and mag shoot in the meets section.

aaahhhh.......didn't think about the hole for the switch, I don't really know what you could do about that.....any ideas?
I haven't actually got the car yet, but Im looking at two tomorrow so I may do soon (hopefuly). Adam have you got all the parts required yet? If you don't mind me asking, how much have the parts alone set you back?
Thanks

I have all the parts except the gearbox. I can't really put a price to it because most of it came from a breaker car I had.William wrote:aaahhhh.......didn't think about the hole for the switch, I don't really know what you could do about that.....any ideas?

The dealer bill was Ԛ£200 for little bits and pieces and this doesn't include a clutch, flywheel, pedal box etc etc

ok thanks adam, it sounds like a lot of expense, defo helped me with my decision if it comes to a straight auto vs. manual shoot out. Would love to come to the meet on the 11th if I have one by then. Good luck with the conversion and if you are calling on the zone support crew to help you out, let my know - I'd love to come and lend a hand and learn something.
