Im looking at cars and one has no alarm at all. Can anyone suggest a decent alarm/immobiliser system for a failry valuable cab. I rekon internal microwaves are a good idea, and obviously remote central locking but apart from those, I don't know what options are available and what would be good/useful to have. Not worried about cost at this stage.
Thanks

Thanks

This is why I want to know BUG4LIFE! If I have a nice motorsport I don't want some chav putting a key down the side or running off with it. I was thinking about the Clifford G5 which has microwave censors and a thing that shouts at you if you get too close to the car
AWESOME! About Ԛ£400 though.

a proper dislock is a bloody good start. End of the day if they want it they will take it regardless of what security u have!
De-lock is also a good off putter for thieves, this and a dislock and u would have the most hardened car theif wondering if it's worth the grief for such an old car?

Clifford systems are very highly regarded and having fitted 2 Concept 400 systems to 2 of my previous cars I have to say the the quality of the components and wiring is superb.
I would also suggest looking into having a tracker fitted - A couple of months back the battery on my Scoobie went flat so I jumpstarted it and drove it to a pub in the middle of nowhere. About 10 minutes after I arrived I got a phone call on the pub phone from tracker asking me to verify that I was Mr Denney!!! All because it had been jumpstarted!

tho i agree with the fact that clifford are very good i think a valid point is that any alarm is only as good as the guy that fits it
no matter what trickery it holds within itself if the guy fitting it doesnt do a real "stealth" job and solders joints etc etc it can be easily removed/bypassed
