I am intending to sell my car which is a cab, and thought it best to sell it spring next year to make best use of the weather incentive. However, I have seen some really nice motorsports and I really need the cash now for one of them, so would it actually not make much difference selling it now or next May?

Thanks

Just go for it, advertise it at the price you want and see what happens!

hi dave, cheers I guess that probably is the best thing. nothing lost after all if it doesn't sell. Only things is, there would be a price where I wouldn't know whether to say yes or no to......always thinking I could get more in the early summer

IMHO if someone wants a cab, they'll buy one at any time of year.

Your downside is that less people will be looking, but if your ad is good, it will get noticed.

As the man said, try it. I think a good place to sell is Autotrader, but on the web ONLY - 15 GBP for 14 days coverage, and as many words as you like. Who buys the magazine these days in any case?

Good luck.

If you ebay it, one week its worth an ommount, next week its worth double, you cant tell. See what you get for it now, and have a reserve prive whereever you sell it.

I sold my elise (I know, I know!) in spring, but you wont get a lot of difference in price just because of the time of year. Only difference is that in spring you may get ten calls responding to an ad, in autumn it'll be more like three and people know that there wont be as much interest in it so will try and argue down the price. Stick to your guns, as long as its a fair price somebody will be along with the cash you need.

Cheers
