I'm looking at Motorsports and unfortunately, most of them are Auto's. Does anyone know what sort of cost would be involved including the cost of the box itself, to get an auto replaced with a sport manual, as would have been found in manual motorsports?

Thanks

alot of work! Ecu,gearbox, master cyliner, manual pedal box, flywheel. Need a manual donor car really mate. Would need the zone team too!

But for a motorsport cab worth it in my opinion

My missus has an auto motorsport cab and is fed up with the auto box so I'm converting it to a manual for her.

If you can do it yourself then you'll save a lot of money. If you have to pay someone then it's going to cost you silly figures. It's quite an involved job.

hhhhmmmmmmm, would be easiest just to get a manual in the first place then......just seen the school boy error in the title "b.box"

It does sound like a lot of work and Im hardly experienced with all this kinda mechnical fudging around so it would probably be worth my while to hang around for a manual.

On the other hand.......I've just found a sweet Calyspo Red one with Lotus leather etc. ideal except its an auto. Im willing to try if its a reasonable aim to change it in the future. Am I talking Ԛ£500 or Ԛ£5000?? I have no idea so ball park figures would be REALLY helpful, thanks

thanks touringdaddy, Im not spanner unfriendly, but I think this task would definitely test me, unless of course I could call on the e30zone support crew!! Do you rekon its something that could get done in a day if I had all parts etc at the ready??

thanks

if u got every thing ready to change then this should be done in a fiew hours a day tops. it can b quite daunting to look at but its all unbolt and refit dead simple stuff really if u took this on you'll c what i mean

i agree with that

if u have a donor car (e.g. a very rusty sport!) for a few hundred quid you'll have everything u need apart from maybe a new clutch kit.

the job isn't much more than a clutch change on a manual

just the pedal box but it not as hard as people make out
