2. If you tried it a few times and there were always 2 lines then it's a good chance it's an LSD. You could also put one wheel off the road on the dirt and the other on the bitumen and spin them again. If both still spin then it should be an LSD. If only the one on the dirt spins then it is probably open or a worn out LSD. You can also jack up the back of the car if you have a trolley jack and spin one wheel and the other should spin as well in the same direction. Or you could just lift one wheel and try to spin it and if it is very difficult to turn then it is probably an LSD. With my LSD I can't turn one wheel like that by myself (while the other is on the ground), it just won't turn. If there is a bit of resistance but it still turns then the LSD could be worn out.

With regards to your first question, either
1. You had an OBC and someone replaced it with an analogue clock, or
2. Someone has replaced your indicator stalk with one that has an OBC remote on it.
It's for cycling through the OBC functions.

Clutch plates fooked innit not locking up all the time. Which leads me to think the car has been abused!Widge wrote:Mine has an LSD I know for a fact as I have looked at the specs and the tag, but always leaves 1 line!!!!! It's done 175,000 miles but drives better than my brothers 120,000 mile cab. It's got full BMW service history up to 150,000 cos it was a company car, and I'm only the second owner! So I dunno, it always locks up on a corner or roundabout tho, I suppose I may just have one tyre on the back that is better at leaving a black line than the other!
