i have been emailing these people about make some pipes up for me and this is his email i got today
Dear Scot,
20 sets of hoses would allow the cost of the tooling to be partly paid for and not become a silly hose kit price. So if you can get 19 others please do so. I will also need to see what hoses you thing are required as not all hose types are suitable to be manufactured in silicone.
Regards,
Geoff Nurton
Scot,
My only experience with BMW hoses were for the E30 M3, and they were pretty simple, about 32mm bore and say each one of the 5 hose kit was about 300mm long. They would cost about Ԛ£50 a set for a group buy of 20 sets. However, this is a stab in the dark and I can't really give an accurate price until i see the OEM hoses that you want to copy.
Regards,
Geoff Nurton

So what's the point of silicone hoses then?
If you ask me, a hose is a hose, silicone ones are just for show and an expensive show too.
I stand to be corrected though.

I agree Adam, but if they are cheap enough then I would have a set, as i don't want to go to all the effort of cleaning/painting the inlet and rockercover and engine bat only to have manky old hoses. I think I may just ge new BMW ones though, I like black.E30Adam wrote:So what's the point of silicone hoses then?

Are these the same for all E30 engines?
I am interested depending on the above (I have a 2.3L M20), the price, and if it's possible to (and anyone would be bothered to) ship these to Australia for me.

Hi Player6.
A few things really. I think this is an awesome idea.. I have a suggestion though. if I understand right the company are tooling up to make a complete silicone hose set for under the bonnet of an e30 just for you and 19 other, but with the cost of tooling in there. would it be possible to get them to make and keep the tooling and talk to the mods about selling them in the e30zone shop. This way it should bring the cost down a considerable amount as its something that people will always be after and maybe offer two kits, one for the main hoses and one for EVERY hose.
Also, going with Kedge... what engines are the kits for as the e30's have the M10 4 pot and the M20 small block six pot... and also the modded ones with the M30 big block six pot. If you can get all three then I will be interested as I want a good reliable hose set for my brothers 320 as his are looking perished, but just want the basic kit not every single possible hose and similar with my m535 which also has the M30 big block. Also, do you have a rough idea of cost, are we talking Ԛ£10-20 for a basic set, 30-50 or 100+???
Sorry its a bit long winded... and you can put me down for a set... do they do black silicon hoses?!?! failing that blue or red i guess

I'm definately interested depending on a couple of things:
1) They are just the coolant hoses
2) They don't cost the earth
3) What's the lead time on them? I'm hoping to get the car on the road within the next couple of weeks
Cheers!

I think if you posted the price you might get a bit more interest
And if you get them made put a bleed screw in the top hose where it runs over the dissy cap

There is NO nucleus.
