No good sending me any PMs for three weeks for E30 electrics advice, unless you strap them to a pidgeon and send it off in the direction of the Loire valley in France.
2500 mile E30 Touring LPG power trip with a ton of caravan in tow.
Was intending to go SE from Calais, visiting a little place known as the Nordsliezer (Sp?), again, but this has been vetoed by a higher authority. See you all!

Bye have fun, and don't forget some spare bulbs and a warning triangle, apparently the Froggies have been really anal recently, and any way I always find bulbs and fuses got at the most in oppotune time!
Have a good trip the Loire will be awesome this time of year - pity all the Frogs will be on holiday too!

not that you will be expecting to break any records with a caravan in tow but if you have any sort of radar detector then leave it well out of sight. I read recently of how a bloke on his way to Le Mans was deprived of his Road Angel( confiscated) by the Gendarme and also fined 750euros for the privilege.

Time was once you could blast to Monacco at any speed you car was capable of, and if you hit a cow or a peasant then all it took was 500Ff to sort it out. Ahhhh the words'a'changing

when i started going to le mans it was a full-on no-messing race down there.
this year i got fined a huge pile of euros for safely crossing a white line at about 5mph to pass my friend's car in a queue for a roundabout (as a joke)
then a month ago was driving my grandparents' golf diesel on an a-road at night and got flashed by a parked car in a layby, with a huge flashlight suckered to the rear windscreen (pointing at my eyes) and they got another big fine through. and apparently i may end up with points for it on my british licence
there's no excuse for speeding of course, but you can no-longer get away with it in france!!

My girlfriend spent a year at uni in the Loire Valley in Angers. It's about as French as it gets down there if u get me! No tourists hardly well in Angers

Have you worked out how many bottles of wine you can safely tow in a caravan?
