What do I do? :-x NEARLY 3 MONTHS NOW :-x and no money.

Hi guys, I'm just wondering what to do with Craigieeb - I'll tell yuo the whold story. When he had his head go on his 320 he was thinking about giving up - but I let him have the cam some valves and the fly wheel off my spare 2.5 engine so he could get his standby 325 in to his car. A week later when I was in scotland, so the week of the 12th June, he called me and asked if he could have the head off the engine as his was warped. no I know how annoying it is when you don't have a car - especially whan you need to use the car to get parts to fix the car! Any way I said yes, and the price was to be agreed later. I got back from scotland and the head had gone off the engine in my drive - fair enough I don't mind, he knew where it was an I had said yes. Anyway I txt him and Ԛ£60 for the head plus the conrods from his 320 for my 2.7 was agreed upon. I then waited 2 weeks, whilst I was quite busy and had no time to chase him up. When I finally got around to it he said he'd post the rods (he took a bit of getting hold of, 3 PM's I think) and a cheque. Great I though.

Any way fast forward to no, the rods ar missing in the post, he said he'd send another cheque and the recepit to I could claim off the Post office but that never arrivved. When I asked him he said he would do a bank transfer on his pay day, that was on Thursday 28th July I have not heard from him since - and no money has arrived.

What should I do?
I am kinda hoping this thread shames him in to putting things right.
I'm just pissed off now for being too nice - although I hope other zoners would be nice to me if my head gasket etc went as it is a bummer. I just want a head now as it is holding up the 2.7, I need it to make measurements.

dnt know what to advise but on the head front
if you wanna risk the cost of testing the head i have here you can have it mate
i,ll get some work out of ya on my conversion later

like i said in pm theres a chance its cracked so its upto you but if nothing else the rest ie internals should all be ok nd my 325 was a fast fooker

Cheers Daz, will use it for mock up and then decide later weather to repair or find a better one - that's 6 months away any way. no probs with the 330i LOL I like a challange

sorry to hear that Widge-I think you've been treated shoddily.

Cragbeeb, Widge gave you that 325 head to help you out of a sticky situation.He gave it to you without asking for money upfront, hell he even trusted you to go round to his house and remove it, WHILST HE WASN'T THERE.

The LEAST you could do is arrange prompt payment of the monies owed to him (eg paypal him the Ԛ£60 within a week of getting the head).Instead you appear to have lead him on a wild goose chase.

Why cant you supply the reciept for the 320 rods?are you hiding something?

as for the payment for the head, it needs to be made mate, cos taking something that you say you'll pay for, then not paying just aint on.

I think you're a decent guy craigbeeb (judging by the folks you've helped on the 'zone) so dont tarnish your reputation over a couple (6) of rods and less than a days wage.

Widge, I know its not ideal mate for your plans, but i may be stripping a 520i fairly shortly, so you can have the head or the rods off of it if i can get em for ya!

its a bit off that he can take the time to go to your house and remove the head but he cant pop round with a few quid in his pocket and a bag of rods for you!!!!!!

I am not making false acusations, I am merely stating facts. What I am saying is that from my previous dealings he is a good bloke but this has gone on far too long, I suppose I am hoping this thread will flush him out of the undergrowth so to speak. And if not then other people have a right to know how he has treated me. And I don't know what to do now, which is why I have posted this question.

I agree totally. It gets on my t*ts when people think sticking their head in sand will help situations dissapear. People need to talk to each other. There's probably a simple reason for this but honesty is needed...

Cant comment on this except to say Craig kindly sorted me out with 3 dizzy cap screws when I needed them badly. I dont know the whole story here so Im not going to start on anyone yet.
