I been full of quesions the last few days!

Just wondering if anyone has just E-Tech valeting service? Just read about their level 2 valet, which looks the business. Anyone know much much that would be?

Or can another valeting place be recommended [as E-Tech being way down south is a bit of a trip for me].

Cheers

e-tech is run by justin who is a proper e30 fan but works on all beemers. never had his valeting service but when it comes to my engine change i don't want anyone else getting involved but him.

don't you wash your car? when i wash mine the front wheels need cleaning again after the first time it's used - so surely it's better to do it yourself?

Yeah, every Sunday...without fail. But I like like sound of the pro wax/polish, window clean [cos windows are the hardest thing in the world to clean with no marks] etc. It says on the E-Tech site - show car clean!

some decent products will wort you out to the same standard as justin's work quite frankly...

check out meguires clay (Ԛ£12) and after use apply some of the polish of your choice and your paint will shine for sure.

autoglym glass cleaner is great - it's a gloopy stuff - generally avoid spray on products and use stuff applied to a cloth coz then it only goes where it should...

instant valet for Ԛ£4 with clean water, a scrubbing brush, a sponge and a clean dry towell works wonders for all the interior.

also if you can find a supply of soft polishing cloth by the roll and buy a couple of rolls of it - a guy in my local market knocks out large rolls for Ԛ£4. i get them and 'mer' polish - he does the medium size bottle for Ԛ£10. mer doesn't give the brightest initial shine but it lasts well. it will do wheels too.

tyres can be made to look like new with black boot polish....

now it's just about regular and thorough cleaning....

it takes me 90 minutes for a regular clean of mine, i do this about twice a week. a polish on top adds another hour, about every 6 weeks. i try to clean one extra thing/area every clean too - like a door shut or under bonnet area. before you know it it starts to look unbelievably clean everywhere!

to my mind the trick is to get every surface clean rather than spraying stuff on them like the trade does - this makes things (especially the dash) look artificially shiny to my eyes.

hope this helps.
