As above^^. I need some work done on my car and I want it to be top notch. I have had no end of poor bodywork done in the past on other cars and don't want to make the same mistake again.

@BSS if you read this, are the guys that painted yours and simons car still at the same place??

Oh yeah I'm in Surrey and nearby would be good but I don't mind traveling a distance if worth it.

I have considered beardymat and he's clearly guaranteed to do a perfect job but somewhere closer would be nice.

Dave after Renault shut the workshop, another bodyshop chain bought the site off renault and opened up again business as usual. In time all the old employees bar the mechanics have gone back! Its just a huge bodyshop now no mechanical work is done there

Gary the panel beater and Adam the painter who did mine and barrys cars are back working there

The bodyshop guy behind Ant's workshop is alright, apparently.

There's a good one in Biggin Hill too if you are interested?

Used to be a good one in Whiteleaf (sp?) in Surrey which is nearer you I think.

Wish I lived over in the UK as you E30 guys always need work done lol... Should see our rust free E30s lol would blow your minds how good our cars are.

Oakey whoever you choose to do the job ask them first if you can have a look around the shop.. It would give a idea of what sort of work they do...

I got my rear arches and a few other bits done by idcoachworks in Purley and I am very pleased with the results. There are a load of in progress photo's in my photo gallery thread (half way down page 2)

http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... c&start=25

It's a relatively small place but they seem to do quite a few classic cars there and Steve the proprietor is a top fella. I would definitely use them again.

Go to Plough Lane Coach works in Sutton on the A217, speak to big tone or Terry and say that Charlie with the BMW recommended you. They're good lads and the sons a mate of mine. They do all the work for the Harris's, the boys that build all the Escort Mk1's Anglias's etc. John Harris builds the engines and Tone does the paint work. Between them they've got the Ford scene licked and are top of their games. You would be amazed at the quality of their work. Seriously mate theses boys are hot, if you know your Fords you'll know them. 8644 9687

You can have your uncracked dashes because you should see our e30s, there is two in my family ATM and we have had one other before and all are chromies.....! Not even a little bit of rust on any of them.

Ide much rather have a E30 with no rust then one with a crack free dash. :giggle: :flipbird: lol The beauty of a place where it rarely rains.. Rust free cars......

Just make sure you get a tasteful bonnet bra so that you don't sandblast it on a run ;)

Chill Simon. Quite a few Aussies have proved they've got the knowledge and skill to do some great work. Shame about their humour though :D :flipbird:
