my car failed its mot on rust in both passenger and drivers footwells, its gone right in the front outer corner which from my minimal knowledge seems to be a common problem? ive had it welded up by my mate, not the greatest job but was free. what i want to know is though, can you buy a proper repair panel for this? shaped and ready to weld on? or is it just a case of makeing plates up?

Such an easy shape to fabricate that panels aren't needed. Don't bother about recreating the "jacking point"; it has no purpose and isn't needed.

Depends how far gone it is and if your a perfectionist like me who likes the right contours in the floor.

I'm chopping up a doner car to repair the sport then passing over to the expert, but as Brian says it is a simple shape if its a small repair and if you dont have OCD on the floor contour LOL -Mine has gone past the pedal mount and up past the pedal stop!
