How do you organise a courier?
Moderator: martauto
I have found an interior I'm interested in buying it. Typically it is at the opposite side of the island to me!!
If the person says they will not post it - how do you go about getting a courier to pick it up? Do I need to get a pallet delivered to the seller and get them to pack it? or does a courier turn up, pack it and deliver it? Which courier have you used in the past and can you give me a link to their site / contact details.
The last interior I bought I just paid the seller to deliver and it has turned up on a pallet. It was about £50 for delivery - but that was from a scrap yard and they must be used to doing it!
Cheers in advance.

These guys are great at couriering stuff

I've used them loads of times, has always been next day delivery. Think it was £60 for the interior I sent. Wrapping an interior takes ages though, literally 4 rolls of tape, loads of cardboard and about 4 hours to do it. I really underestimated how long it would take

Cheers for that Ross. Yeah there is quite a bit involved in packing an interior. I'll ask the seller if they could pack it up ready for collection!!

I like Paisley freight because it's just one guy and a van, so there's no chance of your parcel getting lost in a system like with a big company. I had an exhuast getting couriered to me once using city link and the sent it to ireland instead of scotland!
Yeah you just don't know where it could end up!!
the interior I'm interested in is on south coast and there are loads of places it could end up in between there and here!!
Will give Paisley Freight a bell.

interparcel.com is a great way to compare and choose services
i alway use interparcel
Thanks for that.
I'd guess they all rely on the seller packing it ready for collection?

i had a complete leather interior collected by them from nottingham and delivered to portsmouth no problem whatsoever. they only required it to be wrapped in bin-liners too, as they promise great care. cheap too!
