Well its been 3 years since my pals M3 has been off the road, Some of you will know Jimbo from a few meets, a few of us got together today, to rebuild it after its respray.

Got the window's in and door handle (just the one) lol, still got the engine to do, and the inside etc etc. The engine should be getting fitted on sunday, so i will get some more pictures then.

Looks like this could prospectively be another good thread!

How much did the respray cost?

£1250

which included fitting a new front panel and straightening the inner wing, welding up the scuttle and re making the rear part where the number plate lights go rusty oh and around the rear toing eye!! and about 15 little park dents and stuff!!i had brought the front panel an wing but all the paint an stuff which is clear over base he supplied!!

to be fair he was struggling for work at the time and he's a mate so got it quite cheep really!

Doesn't look like there was any shortage of volunteers to assist in the rebuild. winkeye

Nice. Are you just putting the previous stuff back in, or properly rebuilding it as you go along?

Thats the way forward mate!

I'm in the stage of begining to do that to my 325i. But with a couple of silly parts too.

Is your build all factory original bar a few common little upgrades? LHD or convert to RHD?

BJV at Flaunden? Not exactly right next door to Stevenage, but in Herts at least! I used them for my BBS, can't fault the quality of the job or the price, although the bloke I dealt with was a moody sod.

For a second there I thought you were someone I knew. Also called Jim and also in possession of a rolling shell of a Red E30M3 which has been restored!!

Enjoy the rebuild.
