As above!

Thinking about getting some ideas for my engine bay as the time is nearing for the work to be done on my 325i.

Painted rockers/inlets, chromed nastyness, hosing etc etc...
Or just really, really clean!

Who here has the nicest bay :)

The iS bay looks very deprived and is giving out a sense of sadness in general

This one however looks very happy :)

It seems to have a very bright and strangely circular rust patch, but otherwise looks fantastic!

Loving some of those engines. Still loving the M20 setup though....

I've gonna spending a lot on my M20 engine re-vamp so want it to obviously look the part. Looking for ideas really and a nice black rocker cover is lovely, but seemingly a bit common now :teehee:

Exactly. I'm thinking Diamond black for me, Metalic red details (to go with the red detailing over the car...) or a dark silver. I may just sly my username onto it for the showy sort of purpose. Dark silver/gunmetal grey with a red outline. Really small though, nothing massive.

Thinking about the classic "M//" stripes too...

Similar for the inlet, without any poncy extra detailing. All new hoses (maybe those silcon ones), HT leads (for the pretty colours :o:), spray my BTB manifold (when the group buy goes though), all new bottles and put a touch of colour to various engine-bay parts.

Gonna look propa bastardized innit!

Its a proper project car. Thousands and thousands spent on engine and suspension before even a spray-job is even considered  Not going to leave a single spot untouched. My pathetic reasoning to my "common sense" is that if these cars live for 20 years and onwards then a re-vamp with looking after and touching up as I go along, once done, it should last 10 years of relatively consistant use... so in a garage will live longer! + keeping an army of spare parts!

To think, if it gets finished... your head will be part of it! winkeye
Not just used to keep some old banger on the road for another year. So I truely hope its a good'un! 8)
