Any chance you can keep me up to date on your developments and any chance you can email me your work files so i can see how i actually go about doing something similar? ( beavis2k4@hotmail.com )

Cheers,

Just some additional info for those doing modelling....

http://www.learning-maya.com/tutorials.php

I have AutoCAD and 3DStudioMax 2.5.....Know AutoCAD very well, but not 3D Studio.....as for Maya, it looks similar to 3D Studio.....I am gonna learn some of this stuff, the modelling shown so far are excellent.

I will look around for some graphicals to help with the modelling.....incidentally, take a look at the modelling pages in the above link and look at the focus tutorials.....cool

I'm using Max6.
The most useful website I found to help you get started is http://www.smcars.net/

Loads of WIP shots and resources there. You can actually see how folks model cars.

An old standard for learning car modelling is the Fiat tutorial. This'll help you with the basics. http://3dtotal.com/team/Tutorials/fiat500/fiat500.asp
