Cheers lads.
This is strange, it seems that sport and non sport gearboxes are identical from the exterior.
In this case, how on earth do you tell a sport gearbox from a standard one?

what u can do is put it in gear.... turn input shaft like 10 times and see how many times the output turns round and calcuilate the ratios from there......E30Adam wrote:Cheers lads.

Adam look for a number on the bell housing, this is the GB number and is the only real way of telling.

Ok guys, To put it in a nutshell you might say, if your box number stamped on the clutch release cylinder side of the clutch housing right on the outer edge finishes with either TNN early box or HM later box its a sports one ok, cheers Dave
