The 4dr we've got has done a whole 3k since its last service in january... but the other half wants to service it himself to make sure its done properly so i need lots of bits and bobs

i used to live in swansea and i had choice of gsf, halfords, or bmw main dealer.. mark chose to spend obscene amounts of cash on plugs, filters etc from the dealer as he is keeping his e30 forever it seems.

well the 4dr is up for sale, genuine bm parts wont add to its value so dont want to spend loads, but want good quality parts as we will be driving the car for a while and want it to be reliable for the next owner too.

any opinions on certain dealers, prices quality etc? gsf will deliver, ive got a halfords nearby, or the main dealer is 40 miles away.

Nothing wrong with Halfords, motor factors or whatever for plugs. A particular make of plug is the same where ever you buy it.
Eurocarparts and GSF good as long as you go for OE parts without the BMW box and logo, but don't automatically assume they always beat the dealers. They can surprise you sometimes.

Look in your yellow pages under motor factors, then give one or 2 a call. Don't be afraid to ask for prices, and then when they give you one ask if they can do any better!!!!
I save a fortune at my local factors by having a barter.
