Need to replace sport (91, H) gear knob and combined gator.Mine has two wires and a plug and the gator ,which looks like leather,is made in one piece with the gear knob.
Do the wires mean it should be illuminated ? and the dealers wanted Ԛ£76 for one ,so can they be bought elsewhere?
Thanks Paul

can be wired, I have one in mine
mines from a 540 sport e396, I had the bottom retrimmed to fit the e30 insert, looks pukka.
as for removal, pull the knob straight up and try not to punch yourself in the face when she goes
whilst its in bits( ish) maybe a Z3 lever swop would be a good plan too, you'll be a 1/3 of the way there.
