Well we've been messin around with ideas for these for months (Here), so I reckon it's time to make a decision! I don't know if Chris (Cuk325) is gonna make em up still, but I'm sure we can find someone else who can otherwise.

Previously we've had 3 styles available - the one with the grill as on the banner at the top of the site, the "new" style, and a plain "www.e30zone.co.uk". Then there's the options that various zoners have had a go at. The plain text would still be most suitable for some locations (on eyebrow spoilers etc), so I reckon that & at least one other be made available.

Please bear in mind that they're to go on your car! So think about if they'd look good there - rather than lots of pretty colours (that may look great on a screen or a flyer, but...). Also bear in mind that they'll be cheaper if they're one colour, & hence able to be cut from vinyl.

Here's the options then!

1: Old style (anyone got a good pic?)

2: Old "new" style (!)

There's too many here for a proper automatic poll, so feel free to just say which you like & generally discuss, 'til we reach a verdict! None of em are final designs either, so if we decide we want to combine aspects of different ones, that'll be fine... Discuss away! :D

(Have you any idea how long this post took to write btw?!)

I think number 33 without the car outline would look

:yeahthat:

I'd chosen either that one (20) or 19.

To my mind, if we're using stickers to advertise the zone, it should be obvious a. what the e30zone is all about (i.e. BMWs - how many E30 drivers out there do you reckon dont even know their car is called an E30?) and have the website URL clearly identifiable.

Just noticed that 15 works well too.

My votes for a short list go to 20, 22/23 and mine of course.

as far as my entry goes I'd like to do it with the regular e30 body style as I don't own an m3 and don't want a sticker to remind me of that fact every time I get in my lowly 318 :)

good point pete, its for that reason that i think that numbers 20 and the ones Ziggy did may fall down a bit. (no offence to the guys who did them, they are cool  )

ideally we need something that shows a picture of an e30 so people can identify that it's the car THEY drive, and also to identify the website.

in that case i'd say that siomon13 effort (#6) fits the bill perfectly (maybe the url could be repositioned?) plus its also simple to reproduce.

as hoshy says the use of m3's is all well and good, but could make it look like an m3 club????(yeah i know one of my submissions has one in it   )

i'd also like to vote for hoshy's effort, would look good in many a rear window (plus its white rightness  )

Hoshy's effort is a brilliant base.. personally would prefer a sharper font!!

Simon 13's no 6 is also good, but think the web address needs to be clearer (perhaps bold accross top or bottom) and I would rather not have "old skool cool" written there

BTW these are just my hopefully helpful opinions, they are all far better than I could do!!

Yer I would rather not have the old skool cool on it, and have the e30zone.co.uk written under the car in big letters. Then I would put no.6 on my car.

Fair point, but you couldn't do it out of vinyl - you're talkin about full colour jobbies that would be more expensive & possibly fade... I was goin for the etched-glass-in-the-window (to stick inside obv) look & to me, simple is good! If that ain't what people want, that's fine by me! :thumb:

Oh, & ain't the fact that it's gonna be stuck to an e30 a bit of a clue?!

not really needing full colour ones! simon13's effort is readily identifiable as being the front of an e30, and could be done in black and white......

as for the "attached to the e30" bit-if its just a fleeting glimpse, then having the car on the sicker may be more effective?

I'll knock something up later... :thumb:

I guess I was trying to go for more of a "logo" for the zone, that we'd all be able to identify each other by, rather than an actual advert (though it would obviously serve that purpose too)... & my main concern is that it's got to look cool on my car!

Second that Dan. I also like 34. Understated style and sophistication. Isn't that what the e30's all about?

We're not all brash louts with 'RSTurbo lookalikes' and '500 brake Cosys' in Romford you know!!!!!!

You asked em for permission to use their logo?!

Maybe we're gonna want *another* option too?! One plain text, one plain text + BMW logo (ie #20 or based on it), & one with a bit more going on, more like the ones we used to have?

No. 20 is by far the best. Nice and simple and as an etched sticker would look great. It can even be done in black and white if that's easier. Also agree Borders a little smaller. I was thinkin it would look great in the rear side windows. Nice and discreet along the bottom.

Number 22 or 23 for me.

Simple, but effective.

Are these going to be made in window sicker format? i.e. able stick them on the rear window, from the inside? I dont fancy putting a sticker on the bodywork of my car.. pretty chav if you ask me? :?
