What options are out there as far as standard steering wheels go in an E30, there’s a chap on here called SUMPCRACKER who has a real nice looking Alpina wheel.
Is it possible to get a similar wheel but without the Alpina logo engraved in to it, don’t get me wrong I love Alpinas but I’m not one to try and make my car look like something it isn’t.

You have the Tech 1 steering wheel and the Tech 2 steering wheel (roughly 385mm and 370mm).
You then have Alpina wheels, one like Sumpcracker's.
You can also fit MOMO steering wheels but need to have the correct BOSS fitted.

Funny you say that, i changed it today!
I have now fitted a period MOMO wheel, still using the alpina boss and horn push but a bit less copycat.
Not a good pic but -

Im not happy about fake Alpinas either, but i think its OK to have a few nice bits - no badges or stickers, but no harm in a steering wheel and gearknob or a set of alloys if they float your boat.

Yes, so is the hartge, and the 4 spoke alpina says momo on the 4th spoke.
This is how i knew the boss would fit the other momo.
Nardi bosses have different bolt spacings btw.

I have never seen a RD momo, but as they weren't a big operation like Hartge and Alpina maybe they just re decorated the wheels available to them, they were italian like Nardi and MOMO i think? maybe they just popped next door...
I have a Moto Lita 4 spoke wheel on my 323. It has a central horn push and is a fair bit smaller than std. Moto Lita afaik are still going so you may still be able to purchase similar.

It does look very up to date reminds me of a E36 wheel for some reason??
I prefer something a bit more old skool with some visible metal

Alpina facelift 3 spoke!

Its summat different. I had the four spoke bus wheel which I think looks ok on early chromies but given that mine is an H plate and getting towards the end of run, I reckon it can get away with summat newer looking.pac1982 wrote:It does look very up to date reminds me of a E36 wheel for some reason??
