doubt you'll see sport money for it mate as it will just be a tidy modded 320. So you'll get raped by your insurers also. Prob find that by the time the mods are declared on the 320, it will cost the same as a standard sport to insure!
Sports are over priced in my opinion anyway - just coz I don't own one!
My car would kill a standard sport, yet it looks like a sport thanks to MTec2 kit and I only paid Ԛ£500 for it, but it was a lucky blag to be honest.

With the 2.5 mate, a chip, zorst and induction kit wont give anywhere near 200.]
Standard 2.7's are around 190ish, with a nice one at 200+

if you want 200bhp spend Ԛ£2k then you might be near it, if you did the zorst chip and air filter it will still be good competition on the road regardless of whatever the bhp is. You will probably find that it might be running 150bhp standard, the only way is to get it rolling roaded, do your mods then get it done again.
As for the 2.7 engine, it could be from the e28 525e, about 140bhp when new I think (lots of torque and economical engine) if you spent Ԛ£1500+ by combining the 2 then you might see 200bhp if done properly.

actually, im gonna add something to my first post - i think youve fukked up a bit to be honest - if you wanted a sport, or something that looked like a sport, you should have KEPT the sport. lol i know that sounds harsh, but to get sport money, its got to be a sport. how bad was the bodywork? post some pics or email them to rideordiebuzz@aol.com please, and i'll give you a better opinion on wether it was worth swapping over the bits on to your 320.

John mine has been breathed on a bit by my mates who owned the car before me
it's an '88 325 with ported & polished head, fast road cam, chipped, uprated fuel pressure regulator, K&N panel filter in standard airbox, scorpion system from the manifold back. It made a claimed 192BHP on the rollers a few years back, doubt it is making that now, but a zoner with a 2.7 conversion had a ride in it last weekend and said it felt a good deal quicker than his.
The bills that came with the car would put these mods at around Ԛ£3K and still not over the magic 200BHP figure.
To see that I think I would have to put a big bore throttle body on and fit a 6 branch exhaust manifold, even then it may only just achieve 200hp.
Better off just sticking the 3.5 lump in out of an E34 535i, 210 out of the box

Yes, early and late heads are both identical and interchangeable. The last three digits of the casting number are 885 (found on inlet side ). The difference in compression between a metal bumper car and a plastic bumper car is caused by the shape of the piston crown not the combustion chamber in the head. Later heads have 2.5/2.7 on the exhaust side as the head was also used on the south african 325is (2.7). Incidently the same head was used on early 525i e34s which tend to be easier to find in scrapyards than 325s.

Just say u have re bodied the sport due to rust, i'm sure they would understand that! And i'm sure it's a half truth!
