Opened the car up last night for the first time since rebuilding the head. I was pleasently surprised! Far more power than before and it doesnÔš't fade away in the top end like it used to. I was really disappointed in the car before as my last two cars (Astra GSI and Honda CRX vtec) would have both left it for dead. Now the different is very small if any!
I had a classic moment last night when driving around - Was toodling along minding my own business just enjoying the weather when some twat in a Corsa with bodykit and alloys and lights etc on full blast came flying up behind me acting a tit. Normally I'd just let them go as its dangerous racing twats like this who cant drive. This time though I thought "**** you" and dropped to 2nd and booted it. He tried to keep up but I left him sitting like he was in reverse. Got to the top end of 3rd then backed off and slowed down and he eventually caught up but kept his distance this time. lol

Funny thing is - I had a Corsa about 5 years ago but it was a 1.6 Sport and I definitely wasnt a Chav. :) Its funny how times change.

Now I can get round to spending money improving the car instead of fixing it! :D

Im from NI but Ive been living in Brum for the last two years. Will be here for a few years yet but I'll be moving back to NI eventually.

Ian - that would be cool. A pint and a chance to see your car would be nice.
