I took the day off work today just had enough so thought fcuk it.I had a nice sleep in. She had to go lol , took the dog for a walk sun was shinning perfect day.So i thought i would get my gym training done early before it gets to hot took the motorsport lowered the roof in my garage worked perfect had a nice drive to the gym it really is special cruising with the top down and nice weather.I got to the gym put the roof back up finished training the roof went back down again no problems. The problem started when i got back home just about to put her back in the garage and guess what.
.
Then the fun and games started is seemed like it went mad closing shuting trying to close at the wrong stage and then just getting stuck.
I have since got it to close but am to scared to open it up again.
Is there a manual way to use the roof?
Gazza do you know anybody that works on the mechanical side that can have alook at my roof i dont think the motors are gone it just might be a faulty wire.
Any advice or my summer days of cruising with the wind in my hair are over.
Cheers
Ryan

Check the mech for the hood is lubricated, the grease over time wears thin and the hot weather will have made it a little runny so the parts are not running true. Also past issues of performance BMW had an HOW TO section and did an article on repairing dodgy/sticking hoods
