Car is nice. But is the BHP and the price realistic?

It doesn't look like it does in my sig pic anymore

It's a very interesting thread. Zoom fecked the guy over, used his engine for motorsport and trashed it. I believe they also fecked him over in other ways.

although zoom werent the only company to shaft him. he must be one of lifes victims.
iirc his engine was allegedly ripped out by one of the shysters and used in a race car that the driver crashed and died in.

ALL - I was asking what page it kicked off, not suggesting it wasn't interesting.Rosc0PColtrane wrote:It's a very interesting thread. Zoom fecked the guy over, used his engine for motorsport and trashed it. I believe they also fecked him over in other ways.
Nath - You better re read it first 4 pages completely disagree with you, it was the companies mfree went to first that did that, John at Zoom was fixing all the bodges! I'm upto page 8 and its still at Zoom, Mfree still seems happy with them although its taking an age, and theres an arguement between Jason at chipped uk (or his alter ego!) and mfree because hes slagging John (zoom) off, at the moment Mfree is defending him so must plainly still be happy with the work!
Fuzzy - Thanks skipping to that page now!

Just found that out, anyway, Skim reading the whole thread, Zoom just took a long time, nowt more than that the standard of work was good.
Unlike the other 'specialists' who robbed parts and cash and handed the car back in worse condition than it started zoom seemed quite honest if incapable of managing time effectively.
Worth noting Zoom only got the body and engine sorted, the final finish had to be done by CPC (iirc??), Pacer Pete even seemed to have a hand in the final creation.
And from the thread if I were to guess I would say that M3 cab in the original post on pistonheads is Jason @ chipped UKs or at least his former cab, it was converted by Zoom, who alledgedly fitted the wrong inlet, though once the correct one was fitted Jason apparently remapped it to that silly power figure (BS power figure but not surprising). Jason then alledgedly got a feature in total BMW or something claiming he did the conversion, though the truth on that is never really discovered in the epic.
Frankly search for chipped UK anywhere on this site and I doubt you'll read good things! anyone remember Kos' thread about them?
So many stories, and sub plots, intreque, mystery and skull duggary its an epic read worthy of the top bard of avon himself.

Isnt the cab posted Chip Ducks old one?

WOW that was a monumental read and an investment in time
The saga continues with the mfree car!

Oh and that turd of a cab failed to make 6 bags on the bay last year. In the ebay ad it looked quite tatty.
It was for sale recently.fuzzy wrote:do you know him or the car? whats happening with it now? it seems to have gone off the radar for a long while with nothing heard.bss325i wrote:The saga continues with the mfree car!![]()
