Steel Wheels
Moderator: martauto
I need a set of spare wheels for my car ('89 325i Touring)and was wondering if there is any car that had 4 stud 15in steels ? All I can think of were some Mark2 Golf GTI's had steels but they were 14in. Any ideas ? Probably be easier to get some alloys but steels are usually at a give away price.

those ones in the link dips posted look tasty but they will make over £250 by the end of the auction I reckon, possibly more.
You can buy brand new 15" steelies from VW still, from the MK2 Golf G60, they are roughly £25 each brand new, only problem is they are not very wide and the offset on them means they will probably sit too far inside the arches on an E30.

I've got a set of 4 x 14" original BMW steelies (with BMW centre caps) with 8mm matching Pirelli tyres. If you want them I'll sell them for £100 + P&P (£30 using Parcelforce 48). The tyres themself are worth over £200!!
If you are interested, give me your email and i'll email you over a few pics.

Looked breifly into it for the race car due to possible weight benefit but couldnt find any.
For a road car £100 would get you a decent set of BBS so I wouldnt bother.

Woah, ChemicalAl, thats a lot for steels!
You can have 4 steels from me with various mis-matched but mainly legal (think they're in pairs) tyres for £30.
But yeah, they're all 14".

I was looking at G60 steelies the other day, I think they're only 6J, but would be perfect for getting widened.E30BeemerLad wrote:You can buy brand new 15" steelies from VW still, from the MK2 Golf G60, they are roughly £25 each brand new, only problem is they are not very wide and the offset on them means they will probably sit too far inside the arches on an E30.
Not in E30s any more
Thanks for the offer of the 14in's but I really want to stick with 15in's, so if anyone in the Midlands has a pair they want shot of, let me know. Not worried about what tyres or whether they're legal, as they're gonna get mullered at the Oulton drift day in a couple of weeks anyway.papercutout wrote:Woah, ChemicalAl, thats a lot for steels!

Just wondering, if you want to muller them at a drift day, why do you specifically want 15's? I know the 14" steels fit over standard rear discs (as I have them on mine), or are you thinking long term and you want them banded and as the replacement all-round car wheels?

what about here
http://www.bandedsteels.com/
set of G60 steelies banded to 8" and 9" would look good
