hi, fellow zoners i just got back from a holiday in scotland last night , unfortunateley in 3 aa trucks !! the missus thought let's take the e36 318is, as she says more refined , and great to drive . imagine my surprise when i came home from work to find the e36 loaded with the luggage , oh no i thought my e30 325ise won't be used for all those country roads and motorways!! , my missus said dont worry at least we know the e36 will get us there ok . it did . but the day after while just going in to ayrshire, i heard a mettalic pinging noise oh sh*T i thought , pulled over checked the drive belt and pulley as it was getting a little hot, all fine just a few miles from my uncles house , the powersteering went, the cooling fan , and alternater , not good but it limped home , my missus was very embarassed to say the least !! but we spent the holiday on buses and cabs , and came home on 3 aa trucks to london and twelve hours later we arrived, the next morning we picked up my e30 , imagine the smug look on my face as we went for a drive this morning , and my missus said i think we will take the e30 next time ha, ha,

E36's......not standing the test of time like the E30 has and is still doing.
E36's also starting to look very dated whereas E30's still looking timeless.

I think the fact that e36's are so common is an added factor in this, you see them everywhere. How do people think the e46 will fare?M5pilot wrote:E36's......not standing the test of time like the E30 has and is still doing.

i agree.. but also i feel when the e30 was born, it was destined to be a classic car.technoviolet wrote:I think the fact that e36's are so common is an added factor in this, you see them everywhere. How do people think the e46 will fare?M5pilot wrote:E36's......not standing the test of time like the E30 has and is still doing.
