Leaky CAB roof

K..so i respray my CAB...dont touch the roof in any shape or form...the only seals i remove are around the doors etc etc and now my roof drips...

Dam!

If it rains then i know there will be drops of rain on my seats..new recon'd seats too!... not much to worry about though..no pudles..

Its leaking from the top most corners of the Front Screen just as it comes in contact with the roof..both sides,cant work this one out..

Do they leak here normaly,,any cures outher than try running some sealant to tighten the gap maybe

Dont really know why the work ive done on my CAB has caused the roof to now leak when i didnt go near the roof or touch the doors or windows

Common cause is dry rubbers (Not as bad as it sounds).
Get hold of some silicone grease and lightly smear some on the knobbly rubber bits on the corners of the windscreen surround where the corners of the roof rubber meets them.
What happens is the two bits of rubber dry out & when you close the roof, the two parts don't slide together but 'grab' and distort ever so slightly, allowing water in.
DON'T be tempted to try & use ordinary grease because you'll only knacker the rubber.

thought it was something like that cuz they were ok before i had all the work done..i.e dirt/dust etc etc all over the car

where do i get that grease??....sounds stupid..but would normal oil do?

house hold stuff..any sort of lubricant that wouldnt destroy the rubber?

DON'T be tempted to try & use ordinary grease because you'll only knacker the rubber.

Use ONLY grease designed for rubber. Anything else will eventually attack the rubber & make it useless.

Silicone grease should be available from any major motor factors or, failing that, try somewhere like Cromwell Tools or an electronics shop (Maplins?).
