buyer protection is only any use if the stuff you're buying is relatively vaulable. cheap stuff, not worth it

i rarely do deals with an ebay`er that wants to sell outside ebay, unless i buy in person

yeah learnt my lesson the hard way. it wasnt much money but that aint the point really, ive had a few emails from him this morning saying hes sent out 2 sets! my arse, i mentioned about wilson not getting his wing and he replied back stating how it was funny how in the 7 years hes been doing this the 2 people that didnt get there stuff knew each other. what a prick! i told him ive posted a warning on the internet about his dealings. we`ll see what happens....

To be honest he cant prove he posted it, I can't prove that he didn't.. its not a major amount of money.. although its not nice to lose any! I'll just put it down to personal bad experience and learn from my lesson..

Only buy through Ebay, not through people breaking cars "email for details and parts", or selling on here, unless cash on collection!

I can't really say anymore except, I wish I had known that he wasn't going to send it recorded/trackable. he didn;t give me a breakdown of postage costs, he said Ԛ£40 inc postage, and I even gave him Ԛ£2 towards paypal fees!!!

Sorry to hear your problems guys, e-bay is a thieves paradise, security is useless. As has been said, best to go through the zone, or buy of zoners who use e-bay, jonb uses e-bay, and lists similar 'do not bid' adverts, but you can rely on John at least.
Perhaps we should have a thread with our e-bay usernames?

In all honesty, there's not a lot the mods can do either, I know what you're saying though about maybe not trusting zoners, most people probably remember the guy from Liverpool, was a regular on here, gaining the trust of fellow zoners, then put loads of things up for sale, and nobody received anything!

talking about how shit ebay is for this sort of thing now check this scam out!! my sister and her boyfriend got took for over a thousand pound yesterday!! by some complete wanker on ebay whod had over 100 feedbak and had opend his account 3 years ago..

They won a auction for 2 alpine , touch screen top of the range multi player tv thingys now the guy sold 5 at 500 pound each and everything looks lagit even his address but im telling you now ppl on ebay can get round preety much everything to rip someone off,

now this guy promptly took all there money and another 3 lots of 500 pound so totald 2500 pounds in one day he then withdrew it all from paypal , ( persisted in shutting his ebay account down the same instance, end of , however when its fraud if u have a good credit card company they will always give u ur money back providing u get straight on the phone, i will get the guys name and post it here too but ive been a strong ebayer buyer n seller for over 3 years now and unless i can phone someone and look into the ppl for a while i wont buy nothing!!

just 3 weeks ago a kid got put away at 18 he'd took over 100 thousand pounds out of the system selling cars , stereos , dvd players , camcorders none of which he actually owned it was all fraud now that makes me pisssssed off big time!! but guys need any help here im willing to lend a hand in anyway i can!! im helping my sister out big time here as wankers like this deserve to be knocked straight out!

I think your all mad!! first of all i have proof of postings for both the items sent thru royal mail i asked the idiot for this forum address so i could give my side of the story and post the copies of the reciepts on here? but no reply as for the wing man i got 2 e-mails of this guy i replied several times telling him i will claim for loss thru the post office but the post will more than likely ask him if he had recieved the package or not? this of course never received a reply and have not heard of him for over a month, as for the other moron with his threatning e-mails and big mouth i offered a full refund for the lost item (after 2 pairs have been sent out with proofs of posting in hand) but again thats not good enough for all i know they have received the items because everytime i say i will claim for loss i get no return reply mmm strange that!! i have been on e-bay for long time and have never had any problems like this before until these 2 it just seems a little strange, as for my address i will gladly post it on here because i dont take to kindly to idle threats if i was in the wrong fair enough but i beleive these 2 are trying to pull a fast one, and can people pleae stop e-mailing me tryin to get my address its pathetic....

You can't blame any of these guys for trying to help the other 5000 odd members from being ripped off, if it's not true then fine, the masses will be informed..but the bottom line is the deals were not completed, so they've lingered on and this is why you are here......
I still don't understand why even after emails and offers for claims etc that you did not refund the money and cliamed from the post office yourself, would have prevented this from happening.
I too use ebay, have a 100% feedback so feel confident I know what the score is.

I also know Wilson personally, he a honest person and having been to his house a few times I can assure you he still has the same tatty wing on his car.

Im weary of e-bay now with all the scams and that, on the items i have bought everything has gone fine and i have 100% feedback record.

I recently bought my BBS's off someone off the zone and met them in person and i feel alot more confident that way, when handing over Ԛ£100 +.

Just post up the proof of posting, for the items and wing, then we know it is the P/O's error. and the items can be tracked!! Simple really!

how do i attach the pics of reciepts on here? finally im not accusing anyone of anything elliot as started this b*/hit off getting people to e-mail asking for parts just so he can get my address and phone number i feel thats a bit lame and childish on is part my apoligies to wilson im just a bit angry with the other user with is threatning e-mails and i will do this and do that remarks, but lets not go on this is only happened twice in 7yrs as people will see by my feedback of 600+ happy customers and a message to mod on here its illegal to post a link to EBAY like elliot as done and will only get the site into trouble. I have scanned the reciepts now ready to show people its not my error. P.S i have offered elliot a refund but cannot issue it because he wont contact me!!
