'89 325i sport, no power steering

lookin at a '89 325i sport, but the steering wheel was a bit off and it appeared there was no power steering. what could the problem be here, as i believe all these models had power steering.

i have all the parts you may need to cure it.ie pump,rack etc.
should you need any.

Could be just in need of a new PAS belt, or PAS fluid. An '89 Tech 2 Sport should certainly have PAS; not all earlier Tech 1 Sports had this.
