Well, the tyres on my Alpina reps were just legal and the opportunity came to buy these 15" BBS's at a good price, so i did :)

There not going to be on forever, but the ride does feel alot nicer compared to the 17's.

Just a quick question, what should the tyre pressures be for 195/55/15?

Cheers,

Adam

BBSs rule

As they're BMW wheels it should have the "recommended" pressures on the inside of the driver's door shouldn't it?

Johnono, still going thru the insurers at the mo, there classing it as a right off and only offering me Ԛ£620 so im a little pissed off!!

Ive sent documents to help them re-evaluate my cars value, so i'll see how it goes.

Can you guys tell me what are the "normal" tyre sizes that fit BBS 15" x 7 et24 wheels ??
Always thought 15 inches took at least 205 tyres ........

They look a little weedy with 205/50s unless your car is lowered sufficently. I had them on the front and it altered the poise a little!

215s probably woudlnt alter the look from side on much! Others have said that 205/55s make the rubber look a bit bloated compared to the 50s, swings and roundabouts i guess!

If i was doing it again id probably just take 205/55s all round, i coudlnt tell if the 205/50s i had on the front altered the steering in any way. They might do on some tricked out suspension tho!

Its gona have to be a right off i guess.

Had a phone call today from the insurance company and i finally got a result.

At first they offered me Ԛ£620 for my car!! 8O , i sent them a written evaluation from a bm dealer and some high priced auto trader ads and there now offering me Ԛ£1100.

Im gona take that as there not gona give me any more for it, i do have to pay Ԛ£330 to buy the car back off them or else it would get salvaged!

So that leaves me with Ԛ£770 to sort it out, ive been quoted Ԛ£350 so i guess it works out ok-ish in the end.

Oh, the tyres in my BBS's are 195/55/15.

:woohoo: So you've made Ԛ£420 for your troubles really :)

I know with it having being written off it will be difficult to sell though

Still I'm sure someone from the Zone won't be put off by this, if I was in the market for a 318i I know I wouldn't be :)

Love the Photoshop work
