Clutch revoir cap.

It seems a common issue on all E30's I have had. At some point the cap must have been screwed on too tight and split the cap.

It will, but the cap doesn't seal it from the atmosphere anyway, just stops crap falling in, so don't worry too much about itAdam318i wrote:mines split to

EDIT> also stops the fluid spilling out (probably it's most important function thinking about it)

I did notice replacement caps on Eurocarparts.com at Ԛ£2.35 +VAt but with the fiver dispatch charge it is not worth it unless you have a list of items to order.

The clutch resevoir cap has split on nearly every E30 I've had.
Forget the OE cap and keep your eyes open for suitable caps on other cars in the scrapyard. Tree of mine have caps from the clutch resevoir of early BL Metros, which fit perfectly.
