I test drove an E30 M3 on sunday and looking to buy it, lovely motor but (and it's a big but) I'm planning to use it as an everyday car.
The big question is how easy are they to live with everyday?
Left hand drive and dog leg box is a bit weird at first but you get used to it, just wanted to gauge owners opinions. Even the seller who uses it as a track day motor said he wouldn't use it as an everyday car (very honest of him).

I've been looking for the last couple of days for something else that would make an exciting, well handling, not run of the mill and practical everyday motor and came to the conclusion there is nothing out there...bar the E30 M3! By the way I don't like newer BMW's and I also thought of the 325iS but prefer the rarity and styling of an M3.

I'm not planning to keep it for years, just fancy something more entertaining as an everyday motor for about a year or so while I can afford it!

Honest comments much appreciated. Go for it or not?

P.S. My Integrale has a RHD conversion hence not used to LHD.

AaronM3 had his car featured recently in an article in June Edition of BMWCar magazine, the theme of the feature was living with E30M3 every day. He's worth a natter with but the other M3 boys probably won't hold back with the praise and the niggles either.

E30 beemerlad is right, there was an article of living with an E30M3 everyday, quite a good read if I remember right... has anyone still got this copy only last month I think... just been looking for ya, but must have binned it.. sorry.

BTW Nice to meet yesterday, hope your drive back was good.. Sorry I had to rush off like I did, but the family were waiting for me

Good luck with the M3.

Good to see you too. Bargain motor you got there!

If anyone has a scan of that article I wouldn't mind a copy, guess the June issue has disappeared from the shelves now :(

As long as you keep it serviced and maintained, then it shouldn't be a problem, they can be driven daily no problem, better for the car too, sitting around for weeks at a time do a car no good whatsoever.
I choose not to drive mine every day, it's my hobby I suppose, and I appreciate the car when it comes time to bring it out on the weekends and at least once or twice through the week, anyway, I've got the touring to drive through the week, it's my 6 pot fix!

Hi

I use my e30 m3 everday and it's the family car. I can't fault it, every morning it brings a smile to my face as you blast up the road ( make sure it's warmed up before you go for a blast). I would not trade it in for any other car on the planet, it's brillant!

As long as it serviced and you look after it there shoudn't be a problem. More people should use them daily.
