scott, thanks mate. do they differ from the one-piece rims in any way? such as weight or strength? I like the look of them but the seller says one of them has a scratch ~10CM long. Might be worth having them refurbed. Any idea what to offer the man for them? he hasnt put out a price.
thanks for all the help!

Hi Martin, That damaged rim can be repaired, they aluminium weld the damage then reprofile the rim, have a ring around the wheel refurbishes advertised in the local trader mags, Lepsons name springs to mind from a past post from someone on the Zone, sure somebody on here has a number for you cheers Dave

Martin - you should be able to get that repair like Dave said. Lepsons have a good reputation but it may depend where you are in the UK.
Also, it may be more difficult to find a place as they're splitties and that scares some places.

You should be able to find someone who can sort that out if you ring round, definately worth getting if only one wheel needs working on.

thanks for all advice/comments. I'm in Sweden (.se) and I don't know of any firms refurbishing alloys but I'll have a look around. Sounds like an expensice job though. What would you guys say is reasonable to pay for those wheels? He's suggesting the equivilant (crap spelling) of around 450Ԛ┚¬ which I think is to much for me. Would ba a different matter if the wheels where in perfect condition but they are'nt and I'll need new tires as well. I might be able to knock that price down though.
cheers all, Martin.

Just for everyone's information, Lepsons are indeed excellent at refurbishing alloys, but their charges climb when split rims come across. So I would advice always bearing that in mind.
Martin : You would be better off just buying the outer ring for that damaged one, but again, those bolts are not the simplest of jobs !
Unless you want to have all the wheels refurbished properly. It would cost a fair bit, since those are split rims, and not the easiest to deal with. I know people who have had split rims refurbished, and they do cost a fair amount.
So keeping that in mind, I would not bother with this set. You can get them for a lot cheaper than that.
