Stinks of petrol?

Hi all,
My 325i stinks of petrol! Any common faults to look for? I've got a massive fire extinguisher, my mates e30 caugth fire years ago, im little bit worried..

Check all your fuel lines for splits. They're beginning to perish on lots of cars that haven't had them replaced already.

yep, mine busted 2 fuel lines in the same day, the 2 that run from the bulkhead to the injectors need replacing.

5 minutes work.

yeh defo check fuel lines first.. if one has gone replace them all under the bonnet.. !!

another place is the tank mine seems to be leaking near the top so when i brake all the petrol slooshes forward and pisses out in front of the back wheel, not really a fire hazard but pretty dangerous all the same.

The tanks do tend to rust by the filler neck. I've had to replace a tank on one of my e30's, another one will need one soon - was a long ranger as well.
