If its good condition mate then that should be a pretty good price. Tourings always seem to fetch more than normal cars. And being on a J plate, it shouldnt be one of the early trashed ones.
It will be the M40 316 engine, so i think its about 105bhp, and top speed probably about 110, 115?
Good luck mate.
Check for rust under the arches, and in the boot (lift the carpet up and check in the boot side wells).

Personally, i'd try to pay no more than Ԛ£1000 for the touring
If it has more than 100k miles listen for the sound of worn tappets/camshaft
Check that the coolant is blue (the alloy heads like new coolant evry 2 years!)
make sure the back seat goes down ok, and that there are no leaks in the boot (water is often down beind the trim panels at the side!)
good luch mate!!
