Repost but is still
1- Check light. Check what? Your chuddies are still attached?
2 - Brake Wear sensor light is on in a 240kph car. My ring would tingle when that light came on.
& 3. Loving the fact that he'sstill getting 30km per gallon!

I'm 90% sure thats got a 4pot coding plug in, I could prove it (assuming sport g/box, 15inch wheels and lsd) simply with my mathmagician skills but I've just got in from work so I won't.
My 2.8 accelerates pretty much the same though.
Also my brake wear sensers are on too, but then I have after market pads fitted with no space for oem sensers, and as I may in future want to go back to stock I have not shorted the wire either.

The instrument clusters are the same for 4 and 6 pot cars. There is a coding plug fitted in(I think) the front r/h corner of the cluster, two different colours are used.darren_mk wrote:Can you please explain what you mean by this? i had the wrong coding plug in my 325i..... even at an apparent 8500k it never sounded like that.
the rev counter is more out the higher up the revs you go... on idle it was only 200rpm out, at the red line it was more like 2000rpm out.......
thats genuine if you ask me.

hang on i have a spare instrunent cluster, ill take and upload some pics just for you.......

the white bit is the bit, put a 4 pot one in a six pot or vica versa and the rev counter will be out as the dash pod is "seeing" 2 more or less cylinders than it "knows/thinks" it has.

The speedo may be suspect but i have seen the dyno plot and its about 250-260bhp (~216 at wheels) and car has been stripped out to est 1000kg thats why it gets 0-200 in 16s which would require about 300bhp normally. the car uses a 4.27 LSD

Hmm under 200nm iirc I'd have to look it up to be exactly sure. and also under 180ft/lbs too.DanThe wrote:How much torque is your boat anchor putting out Gareth?
That rev counter looks about 1k rpm too high
I make more bhp than an m52 but less torque than a m50 atm, but that will change soon though, I spend money like it does grow on trees though.
However I am running a 6pot coding plug in m3 clocks and mine reads approx 800 rpm too high at peak, but 100% spot on low down.
For the record I have only ever owned 6pot e30's (and one iS) and if it was anything other than a sport I'd stick a 24valver in but as a sport it has to at least look stock.
OEM+ is where its at.
